Promotional Terms & Conditions – WTH Direct

WTH Direct regularly offers promotions, discounts, special offers, and trials to our customers. This page sets out the terms and conditions that apply to these promotions. By participating in any promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms as well as any additional terms specific to that promotion.

We are committed to transparency. All promotional terms will be clearly displayed at the point of participation — whether that is on the product page, at checkout, in marketing emails, or on social media. 1. General Promotional Terms

The following general terms apply to all promotions offered by WTH Direct unless otherwise stated:

  • Eligibility: Promotions are open to all customers unless specific eligibility criteria are stated (e.g. “UK customers only” or “new customers only”).
  • One promotion per transaction: Unless otherwise stated, only one promotional discount code or offer can be used per order. Promotions cannot be combined with other offers.
  • Promotional prices are final: Items purchased during a promotion cannot be further discounted after purchase. If a price drops further after your purchase, we do not offer retrospective discounts.
  • Subject to availability: All promotions are subject to stock availability. If an item sells out during a promotional period, we reserve the right to end the promotion early.
  • No cash alternative: Promotional discounts, vouchers, and free gifts have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • We reserve the right to cancel: We reserve the right to cancel, modify, or withdraw any promotion at any time if we suspect fraud, abuse, or technical errors. This includes cancelling orders placed using invalid or expired codes.
  • Errors and misprints: If a promotional price or discount is displayed incorrectly due to a technical or human error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

2. Discount Codes & Voucher Codes

Discount codes (also called voucher codes, promo codes, or coupon codes) can be applied at checkout to reduce the total price of your order.

How to Use a Discount Code

Enter your code in the “Discount Code” or “Promo Code” field at checkout and click “Apply”. The discount will be shown in your order summary before you complete payment. If the code does not work, check the terms below to see why.

Common Restrictions

  • Expiry dates: All discount codes have an expiry date. Expired codes will not work and cannot be extended.
  • Minimum spend: Some codes require a minimum basket value (e.g. “£10 off orders over £50”). The minimum is calculated before shipping and after any other discounts.
  • Product exclusions: Some codes only apply to specific categories or products. Excluded items will be clearly listed in the promotion’s terms.
  • Single use only: Most codes can only be used once per customer. If you have already used a code, you will not be able to use it again even if you create a new account.
  • Cannot be combined: Discount codes cannot be stacked with other codes or combined with sale items unless explicitly stated.
Example: “SAVE15” Discount Code Conditions: 15% off your order. Minimum spend £30. Excludes sale items and Wurth-branded products. Valid until 31 March 2026. One use per customer.
Invalid codes: If a code does not work, it may have expired, reached its usage limit, or does not apply to the items in your basket. Contact us if you believe a code should have worked but did not.

3. Sale Events & Seasonal Promotions

We run regular sale events such as Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Summer Sale, and Clearance Sales. These promotions typically offer percentage discounts or fixed-price reductions on selected products.

Key Terms for Sales

  • Sale prices are as marked: Discounted prices are clearly displayed on product pages. No additional code is required.
  • Limited time only: Sale events run for a specified period (e.g. “Valid from 29 November to 2 December”). Once the sale ends, prices revert to standard retail prices.
  • While stocks last: Sale items are subject to availability. Popular items may sell out quickly.
  • No returns on final sale items: Items marked as “Final Sale” or “Clearance” cannot be returned for a refund unless faulty. This will be clearly stated on the product page.
Example: Black Friday Sale Conditions: Up to 50% off selected products. Valid Friday 29 November to Monday 2 December 2026. While stocks last. Excludes new arrivals and gift cards. Standard return policy applies unless item is marked “Final Sale”.

4. Free Shipping Offers

Free shipping promotions waive the delivery charge on qualifying orders. These offers may be automatic (e.g. “Free shipping on orders over £50”) or code-based.

Conditions

  • Minimum spend applies: Free shipping is typically offered on orders above a certain value (e.g. £50 for UK, £100 for EU). The threshold is calculated before any discount codes and excludes VAT.
  • Standard delivery only: Free shipping offers usually apply to standard delivery only. Express or tracked shipping may still incur a charge.
  • Geographic restrictions: Some free shipping offers are limited to specific regions (e.g. “UK only”). Check the terms before checkout.
  • Cannot be combined: Free shipping offers cannot be combined with other shipping promotions.
Example: Free UK Shipping Conditions: Free standard delivery on all UK orders over £50. Offer applies automatically at checkout. Does not apply to express or next-day delivery. Valid until further notice.

5. Buy One Get One (BOGO) & Bundle Offers

BOGO promotions and bundle deals offer free or discounted items when you purchase a qualifying product.

Types of Offers

  • Buy One Get One Free (BOGOF): Purchase one item and receive a second item of equal or lesser value for free.
  • Buy One Get One Half Price: Purchase one item and receive a second item at 50% off.
  • Bundle Deals: Purchase a set of products together at a reduced total price (e.g. “Buy 3 for £20”).

Conditions

  • The free or discounted item must be of equal or lesser value unless stated otherwise.
  • BOGO offers apply to individual items only, not to the total basket value.
  • If you return one item from a BOGO promotion, the discount will be recalculated and the refund adjusted accordingly.
  • Cannot be combined with other promotional codes unless explicitly stated.
Example: Buy 2 Get 1 Free Conditions: Add 3 items to your basket. The cheapest item will be free. Applies to selected categories only. Discount applied automatically at checkout. Valid while stocks last.

6. Flash Sales & Limited-Time Offers

Flash sales are short-duration promotions (e.g. “24-hour flash sale”) offering steep discounts on selected products.

Key Terms

  • Strict time limits: Flash sales run for a specified period (e.g. “6 hours only”). Once the time expires, the promotion ends immediately.
  • Limited stock: Flash sales often have limited stock. Items may sell out before the promotion ends.
  • No price adjustments: If you purchased an item before a flash sale, we do not offer retrospective discounts.
  • Cannot be reserved: Adding an item to your basket does not reserve the promotional price. You must complete checkout before the sale ends.

7. Loyalty & Rewards Programs

If we operate a loyalty or rewards program (e.g. points-based system, VIP discounts, or membership tiers), the following terms apply:

  • Eligibility: You must opt in to the program to participate. Registration may be automatic or require separate sign-up.
  • Earning rewards: Rewards (e.g. points, vouchers) are earned based on eligible purchases. Some products or sale items may be excluded from earning rewards.
  • Redeeming rewards: Rewards can be redeemed as stated in the program terms (e.g. “100 points = £1 off”). Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Expiry: Rewards may expire if not used within a certain period (e.g. 12 months from issue). We will notify you before expiry where possible.
  • Program changes: We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the loyalty program at any time with reasonable notice.

8. Referral Programs

Our referral program allows existing customers to refer friends and earn rewards when their referral makes a purchase.

How It Works

  • Share your unique referral link with a friend.
  • Your friend must be a new customer (no previous purchases).
  • When your friend completes their first order using your link, you both receive a reward (e.g. £5 off your next order).

Conditions

  • Referral rewards are issued after the referred customer’s order is completed and the return period has passed.
  • Referral fraud (e.g. creating fake accounts) will result in forfeiture of rewards and may lead to account suspension.
  • There is no limit to the number of friends you can refer unless stated otherwise.
  • Referral rewards expire 6 months after issue.

9. Free Trials & Subscription Offers

If we offer a free trial or introductory subscription rate (e.g. “First month free”), the following terms apply:

  • Trial period: The trial period duration will be clearly stated (e.g. “14-day free trial”).
  • Automatic renewal: Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew at the standard rate. You will be notified before renewal.
  • Payment details required: You must provide valid payment details to start a trial, even if the trial is free.
  • One trial per customer: Free trials are limited to one per customer. Repeat sign-ups are not permitted.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel at any time during the trial period without charge. Instructions for cancellation will be provided at sign-up and in your account settings.
Important: If you do not cancel before your trial ends, you will be charged the full subscription price for the next billing period. Set a reminder to cancel if you do not wish to continue.

10. Gift with Purchase

Some promotions offer a free gift when you purchase a qualifying product (e.g. “Free tote bag with orders over £75”).

Conditions

  • Free gifts are subject to availability and may be substituted with an item of equal or greater value if stock runs out.
  • The free gift will be automatically added to your order at checkout if you meet the qualifying criteria.
  • Free gifts cannot be returned for a refund, but can be returned if faulty.
  • If you return the qualifying purchase, you must also return the free gift or the value of the gift will be deducted from your refund.

11. Clearance & Final Sale Items

Items marked as “Clearance” or “Final Sale” are sold at heavily reduced prices to clear stock. These items are subject to different return terms.

Conditions

  • No returns for change of mind: Final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty or not as described.
  • All sales final: This will be clearly marked on the product page and at checkout.
  • Consumer rights still apply: If a final sale item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are still entitled to a refund or replacement under consumer law.

12. Misuse of Promotions

We take promotional abuse seriously. The following actions are prohibited and may result in order cancellation, account suspension, or legal action:

  • Using discount codes that were not intended for you (e.g. codes issued to another customer).
  • Exploiting technical errors or system glitches to obtain unfair discounts.
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent “one per customer” restrictions.
  • Reselling promotional items for profit (e.g. buying heavily discounted items to resell at full price).
  • Using bots or automated systems to secure limited-stock promotional items.
Consequences of abuse: If we detect promotional abuse, we reserve the right to cancel your order, withhold refunds, suspend your account, and pursue recovery of any losses. Repeat offenders may be permanently banned from our platform.

13. How to Stay Informed

We announce new promotions through the following channels:

  • Website banners: Promotions are displayed on our homepage and product pages.
  • Email newsletters: Subscribe to our mailing list to receive exclusive offers and early access to sales.
  • Social media: Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for flash sales and limited-time codes.
  • At checkout: Available discounts and promotions are shown at checkout before you complete payment.

14. Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute about a promotion, please contact us at info@wthdirect.co.uk within 14 days of the promotion ending. We will investigate and respond within 5 working days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to our Customer Service Manager at complaints@wthdirect.co.uk. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these promotional terms.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Promotional Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect new types of promotions or changes in the law. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.

Individual promotions may have additional or different terms that supersede these general terms. Always read the specific terms of the promotion you are participating in.
