This Black Iron casement fastener has a lovely curled tail design at the end of the handle. Its colour is an almost black finish, through use and time, the metal will lighten achieving the classic coppery lustre synonymous with solid bronze sculptures

All black iron products from Cardea are rust proofed, primed and then painted with a flat black paint to guarantee many years of maintenance free use, indoors or out

The Mortice Plate is the most common type of plate, used on standard casement windows where the fastener ‘tongue’ can latch into the frame. The Hook Plate is for use on ‘flush’ casement windows, where it is not possible to use the frame for the fastener to hold the window closed
